Men who take Viagra Could Likely go Blind

A new study has found that the usage of Viagra can make a person blind, The study surveyed nearly 200,000 men for the study and jumped to the conclusion after the research of the data. The study was conducted by the  University of British Columbia.

The study also found that using erectile dysfunction drugs like Viagra can double the risk of causing blindness. There are other medicines like Cialis, Levitra, Stendra and others. The study also found that men taking those medications are two times more likely to get serious retinal detachment and twice the chance of ischemic optic neuropathy. ischemic optic neuropathy could affect the blood supply to the optic nerve.

Researchers warned that if you continue taking these medications they can really go blind. There is one good thing that the researchers added is that losing eyesight is still rare even though there is a high chance of losing the functioning of the eyes. These erectile dysfunction drugs can increase the blood flow in major parts of the body but they can also affect the overall blood supply to the other parts of the body, mainly the eyes.

Dr. Mahyar Etminan said that the regular users who notice a change in their vision must consult a doctor immediately. The author of the study said that the study highlights the need for adding warning labels for these medications. Since 2005, researchers have found that these medicines affect vision.
